Terms of Service

Welcome to Sacred Haven. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sacred Haven website and any information, resources, scheduling features, or other services available through this website.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website.

1. About Sacred Haven

Sacred Haven LLC provides end-of-life doula support, advance care planning support, education, family guidance, legacy and vigil support, and nurse consulting services.

Sacred Haven is based in Washington State and provides in-person services within its designated service area, as well as certain virtual services where appropriate.

2. Website Information Is Not Medical Advice

Information provided on this website is intended for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition and should not be considered a substitute for individualized medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, legal advice, or other licensed professional services.

Although Sacred Haven is founded and operated by a Registered Nurse and Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse, use of this website does not establish a nurse-patient relationship, healthcare provider-patient relationship, or other clinical relationship.

Always seek appropriate medical care from your physician, advanced practice provider, hospice team, emergency services, or other qualified healthcare professional when needed.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency medical care.

3. End-of-Life Doula Services

End-of-life doula services are non-medical supportive services and do not replace hospice, home health, nursing, medical, mental health, emergency, or other licensed healthcare services.

Sacred Haven may provide education, advocacy support, care navigation, emotional and practical support, family education, advance care planning support, vigil presence, legacy work, ritual or spiritual support, and other services within the agreed scope of care.

Any nursing consultation or education provided through Sacred Haven will be performed within applicable professional scope and does not replace care from the client’s treating healthcare providers.

4. No Professional Relationship Through Website Use

Visiting this website, submitting a contact form, sending an email, downloading a resource, subscribing to communications, or communicating with Sacred Haven does not by itself establish a client, nursing, or other professional relationship.

A formal service relationship begins only after Sacred Haven has agreed to provide services and any required client agreements, consent documents, and payment arrangements have been completed.

5. Client Agreements

Clients receiving services from Sacred Haven may be required to review and sign a separate Client Service Agreement, Financial Policy, Privacy Policy, consent forms, or other applicable documents.

If these Terms conflict with a signed client agreement regarding services provided to a client, the signed client agreement will control with respect to those services.

6. Scheduling and Availability

Submitting an inquiry or requesting an appointment does not guarantee availability or acceptance as a client.

End-of-life circumstances can change quickly, and Sacred Haven cannot guarantee continuous availability, immediate response, bedside presence at a particular time, or presence at the moment of death unless specifically agreed to in writing.

Sacred Haven is not an emergency or 24-hour medical response service.

7. Fees, Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

Fees for Sacred Haven services will be communicated before services are provided and may vary depending on the type, duration, location, or scope of services requested.

Payment terms, deposits, cancellations, unused service hours, refunds, travel fees, and other financial arrangements are governed by Sacred Haven’s current Financial Policy and any applicable client agreement.

Prices displayed on the website may be updated at any time. Changes will not alter fees already established in a signed agreement unless otherwise permitted by that agreement.

8. Third-Party Services and Resources

Sacred Haven may provide links or referrals to hospice agencies, healthcare providers, therapists, funeral homes, community organizations, educational resources, or other third parties as a convenience to clients and website visitors.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sacred Haven does not own, control, endorse, or guarantee the services, availability, accuracy, quality, or practices of third parties and is not responsible for their actions or omissions.

9. Spiritual, Ritual, and Complementary Support

Sacred Haven may offer optional spiritual, contemplative, ritual, somatic, sound-based, or other complementary practices when requested and appropriate.

These practices are intended to support comfort, meaning, reflection, connection, and personal experience. They are not medical or mental health treatments and are not represented as diagnosing, treating, or curing any condition.

Participation is always voluntary.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website—including written materials, educational resources, graphics, photographs, branding, logos, downloads, and original materials—is owned by Sacred Haven LLC or used with permission.

Content may be viewed, downloaded, or printed for personal, noncommercial use where permitted. It may not be reproduced, republished, sold, modified, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission from Sacred Haven LLC.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, submit knowingly false or fraudulent information, use website content unlawfully, or use the website in a manner that infringes the rights of Sacred Haven or others.

12. Privacy

Your use of this website is also subject to Sacred Haven’s Privacy Policy.

Please remember that ordinary website contact forms, email, text messaging, and other electronic communications may have privacy limitations. Avoid submitting highly sensitive medical or personal information through general website forms unless specifically requested through an appropriate communication method.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sacred Haven LLC and its owner, representatives, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising solely from use of, or inability to use, this website or reliance upon its general informational content.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be waived or limited under applicable law.

15. Changes to These Terms

Sacred Haven may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in services, business practices, technology, or applicable requirements.

The current version will be posted on this website with the date of the most recent revision.
